Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer you will be working on the requirements, design and development  of a very large scale distributed system with a keen sense for high performance and scalability, troubleshoot issues with  hawkish acumen, work with Operations and Support (as needed) to help manage a healthy cloud and happy customers and at the end of the day – display accountability and a sense of ownership in areas assigned to you.

We develop innovative solutions that are transforming the internet security business, and millions of users rely daily on our service for data protection and comprehensive security. We also provide real-time analytics to our customers for unmatched visibility and maintain a state-of-the-art NOC. 

Your programming expertise will help deliver endpoint software that will be deployed on our Fastest growing product line - ZDX . You will be expected to participate in all phases of the product development cycle, from definition, design, through implementation and testing. Develop functional specifications, assess task requirements and scheduling, and participate in the development, debugging and support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Expert level programming in C++ , Standard Template Library and Socket Programming
• Strong knowledge of Networking, TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, DNS, HTTP, HTTPS, SSL/TLS - Required
• Comfortable with Multithreading and Locking mechanisms like Mutex and Semaphores
• Exposure to Linux /Mac/ Windows
• Understanding of the C /C++ compiler and linker
• Comfortable writing Makefiles
• Familiar with the complete software development cycle.
• Self-starter, quick-learner, able to multitask, and collaborate with others in a team environment.
• BS/MS degree (Engineering/Computer Science) .
• Ability to work with remote teams, handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

Desired Skills:

• C Programming skills preferred
• Understanding of proxy and Tunneling like GRE/IPSec/VPN
• AWS Container Orchestration & Management
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Microsoft Visual Studio/Code
• Mac XCode
• Cross platform development experience
• Experience using Networking tools like Wireshark  and understanding of PCAP.
