Senior Specialist, Municipal Trading

We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Specialist, Municipal Trading. This role is located in New York, NY.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

• Provides assistance to the trading desk with client order execution. 

• Liaises with support full allocation, settles issues on the life cycle of the trade. 

• Facilitates orders for internal departments. Provides initial recommendations on the pricing of securities. 

• May execute smaller or less complex trades and determine appropriate prices for transactions. 

• Assists in the trading and management of a book of business. 

• Functions independently with delegated responsibilities from more senior traders, which includes the pricing of securities and management of capital risk to maximize returns.

• Executes all correspondence requisites with a basic understanding of the underlying business and specific client needs.

• Tracks trades and corrects routine trade problems.

• Completes assigned research assignments for the Trading function. 

• Handles routine client inquires and run reports as necessary.

• No direct reports.

 

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

• Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

• 0-3 years of total work experience preferred. 

• Experience in trading or brokerage preferred.
