This position leads sourcing strategy, vendor management, and performance optimization for outsourced business services that support MiniMed global manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for identifying value-creating opportunities, managing sourcing events, and driving cost, quality, and service excellence across a global portfolio of BPO suppliers.
Position Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for BPO categories (e.g., shared services, customer support, IT services, finance operations, supply chain support) related to global manufacturing needs.
Analyze spend, market trends, and supplier performance to identify cost reduction and service improvement opportunities.
Develop and execute category strategies that align with manufacturing and enterprise goals, ensuring compliance with FDA and ISO 13485 regulations.
Vendor Selection & Contract Management
Manage end-to-end sourcing processes including RFPs, negotiations, vendor evaluation, and contract development.
Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Quality to ensure contracts meet regulatory and operational requirements.
Drive supplier selection based on total value, innovation capability, scalability, and risk profile.
Supplier Performance & Governance
Establish performance metrics (SLAs/KPIs) and lead regular supplier reviews to ensure BPO partners meet service, quality, and cost expectations.
Monitor vendor risk and support the development of contingency and continuity plans across global regions.
Foster collaborative, strategic relationships with key suppliers to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Program Management
Work closely with Global Manufacturing, IT, Finance, Quality, and Compliance teams to ensure sourcing solutions support business needs and compliance standards.
Manage project timelines, stakeholder expectations, and communication for all BPO sourcing initiatives.
Track and report on savings, value realization, and program status to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience
