Senior Devops Engineer (Kubernetes Kafka Cassandra)

What we need

LOOPME HAS OPENED IN POLAND! As part of our ongoing global expansion, we’ve opened an office in Krakow. Primarily a tech hub, this office will help serve as the engine room for the business, housing the likes of Developers, Product Specialists and Account/Campaign Managers who will work across the entire LoopMe product suite.

We are looking fora Senior DevOps Engineer to help our hosted infrastructure with more than 750+ servers and to maintain the reliability of our core services and improve our engineering processes. Our main products are built as a highly distributed and scalable architecture in hosted data centres and cloud hosting which are designed to handle billions of transactions per day. You will work closely with our development team based in Ukraine, to ensure code stability and performance.

What you'll be doing:

• Seeking, recognising and promoting opportunities to increase server and code performance
• Partnering with our multiple platform development teams to assess future infrastructure needs
• Contribute to LoopMe’s infrastructure, infosec, and technology stack roadmap
• Performance benchmarking of new technologies

You'll have

• A background as a hybrid software engineer; you'll have a history of shipping high-quality production code in a modern software language
• Experience working with databases and are comfortable modelling database schemas and writing queries across a variety of data sources
• Experience with Kubernetes, Kafka and Cassandra
• The ability to lead internal change projects and inspire others to change existing ways of working
• Strong relationship building and communication skills, as well as cross-discipline collaboration and communicating recommendations to senior leaders
• You embrace automation and take pride in building internal tools to help your team be more efficient. You are not afraid to jump into application code to ship a new feature or infrastructure code to help scale a system
• An ability to problem solve; you solve challenges involving scaling, reliability, high availability, data pipelines and micro-services
• Excellent written and verbal English skills
