ClimateWorks Foundation is a global organization committed to our mission: to end the climate crisis by amplifying the power of philanthropy. Since our founding in 2008, we have awarded over $1.8 billion in grants to more than 850 organizations working to advance climate solutions around the world. Job Summary

Under the direction of the Vice President of Global Intelligence (GI) and in close partnership with other departments, the Director, Climate Philanthropy will work with ClimateWorks Global Intelligence team and senior staff to design to design, develop, and support historic, current, and future looking databases and information related to climate philanthropy. The Director will stay at the forefront of new emerging topics in climate philanthropy, and through effective partnerships will demonstrate leadership on thought products that positions the insights from the GI assets to further philanthropic investments. They will manage the team of three currently, as well as consultants to support the projects. They will work collaboratively with other departments, including senior staff to develop a set of compelling, integrated, and clearly positioned climate philanthropy products that meet the information needs of key audiences.

With the team, the Director will provide guidance on how best to use assets, products and services deemed core and high priority, as part of ClimateWorks’ GI Function. Additionally, they will support the development of analysis and insights needed for ClimateWorks’ Program team. The Director, will also support the Information and Systems team, advising initiatives to improve ClimateWorks’ internal database and data process, identifying opportunities for efficiencies, and supporting best practices around data protocol and confidentiality.

The Director will engage with a variety of funders and other partners to share insights and trends from the landscape and other supporting data.  As such, this is an excellent opportunity to represent ClimateWorks both internally and externally and the individual must be professional and comfortable in front of funders and high-level partners.
