Job Description

The Staff Accountant will be responsible to assist with various accounting tasks and reporting
for a few growing departments of SIL. This role presents an excellent opportunity for someone

We are seeking a detailed-oriented onsite* Staff Accountant to join our global finance team in Dallas, Texas. The Staff Accountant will be responsible to assist with various accounting tasks and reconciliations. *Opportunity to work from home up to 2 days per week.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries, including accruals, by maintaining records and reconciling accounts

• Support the month-end and year-end close

• Prepare payment requests to the AP department for departmental invoices

• Request account and cost center changes

• Prepare internal financial reports for department managers, including monthly reports and additional reports as requested

• Research and correct account discrepancies

• Distribute month-end reports to department managers and respond to questions or corrections.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices, preferably for nonprofit organizations

• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets

• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form

• Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems

• Ability to analyze, consolidate, and interpret accounting data

• Attention to detail

• Analytical thinking

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration, plus at 3 years of relevantexperience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

• Experience in an accounting role using accounting software, preferably NetSuite.

Pay Range:

$50,000 - $60,000 per Year
