About the Role: 

The Sourcing Specialist will execute and drive end-to-end sourcing events for the operational spend of multiple categories within the Americas’ Indirect Sourcing division including capital equipment, facilities, MRO and professional services, while providing excellent customer service to help stakeholder achieve department, divisional, and global initiatives.

 

Your Responsibilities Include: 

  • Facilitating end-to-end sourcing events, which will include reviewing and analyzing requests for proposals and/or quotes as well as analyzing spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers to drive alignment and achieve goals such as annual cost savings and value contribution targets
  • Developing and managing supplier contracts; work with legal team to review, negotiate and approve contract terms; negotiate favorable payment terms and pricing to obtain best value
  • Analyzing supplier financials and capabilities to drive supplier selection 
  • Supporting suppliers with resolving inquiries and disputes; build and manage supplier relationships
  • Educating internal stakeholders on BSC’s sourcing and financial policies 

 

Required qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 4 years of experience in strategic sourcing
  • Working knowledge of end-to-end procurement process 
  • Proficient with MS Excel and PowerPoint with working knowledge of SAP and Ariba 

 

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Knowledge of medical device or similarly regulated industry
  • Experience with contract management with effective negotiation skills
  • Results-oriented with ability to meet target goals and objectives 
  • Customer service oriented with strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience managing change and ambiguous situations; effective conflict resolution skills 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals on all levels (written and verbal) 
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills; analytical decision-making
