The Opportunity:

Works independently under close supervision, prepare and submit documents necessary to gain US and foreign regulatory approval / clearance to place new or modified products into worldwide commercial distribution. Provide expertise, make recommendations and give regulatory direction as an integral member of product development and supply chain teams. Regulatory representative on new product development teams to ensure compliance with internal company requirements and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job Description Summary

The Customer Contract Operations Analyst is responsible for the administration, review and analysis of customer contracts by assessing contract requirements, special provisions, and terms & conditions to ensure compliance with negotiated business terms, regulations, policies, and procedures. This position provides expertise in the management of contract change control and administration duties in the “care” of the customer’s contract. This role will assist in identification, development, and implementation of new contract policies and processes. This role will be a part of the team directly supporting the Pricing Transformation project with relevant required customer contracting information.

MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides high quality, compliant customer contract administration, including the timely review and execution of renewal agreements, appropriate risk identification and mitigation. 
  • Complete all customer documentation related customer contract administration
  • Maintain customer portals acting as POC for Avantor registrations
  • Maintain up to date database on customer contracts with relevant terms
  • Understand and identify contractual risks and commercial considerations to internal stakeholders
  • Understands and applies general contracting principles, theories and concepts.
  • Assist in developing new contracting policies and processes designed to improve efficiency and meet business needs.
  • Coordinates contracting review process with other areas of the business such as legal, finance and 
  • Effectively manages multiple contracting priorities in a timely manner to meet the internal and external customers’ needs.
  • Ensures final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached during the bid process
  • Perform any required reporting or contracting requirements consistent with executed terms and conditions 
  • Responsible for ensuring contract provisions are compliant with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains excellent customer relations, both internally and externally. 
  • Understands how contracts impact the business, including financial implications. 

QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications)

  • BA or BS Degree or relevant experience
  • CCCM, CPCM or CFCM - preferred 
  • Minimum 3+ years of contracts and/or procurement experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams.
  • Strong background/experience with contract preparation and/or review required 
  • Experience  in the  life  sciences  industry  preferred

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT (Under Typical Positions)

Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of   temperature and noise level. Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems.

A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.  Minimal physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 10 lbs.
