Local CDL Garbage Route Driver

Empire Disposal, a Waste Connections Company has an immediate opening for a Local CDL Garbage Truck Driver to join our team in Colfax, WA. This position is labor-intensive and requires continuous movement in and out of the truck, manually collecting solid waste and dumping it into the back of a rear load Garbage truck, as well as transporting it to the appropriate facilities for disposal.

We are looking for a safety conscience Residential/Commercial Rear Load Garbage Route Driver to join the team. Previous waste experience would be a huge plus! This route typically averages about 45 hours a week.

Schedule is Monday-Thursday 4:00am to 2:00Pm, with Occasional Overtime.

Hourly rate is $28.00/HR.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to read route sheets or Driver Tablet and service each customer identified or assigned by the dispatcher.

• Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.

• Ability to perform a physically demanding job, loading and unloading, at times with no helpers.

• Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.
