Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) invites applications for the role of Manager, Clinical Administration.

The Manager, Clinical Administration provides support to the Senior Director and clinical department Chairs in financial, human resources and administrative operations across clinical departments at UNR Med. The Manager oversees the daily administrative operations of clinical departments, ensuring efficiency and coordination with UNR Med offices (Graduate Medical Education, Legal Affairs, and IT) and support for clinical affiliate Renown Regional Medical Center. Additionally, the Manager oversees administrative department personnel ensuring staffing needs are met to facilitate operations. This role also supports strategic planning and oversees transactional work of Classified staff while supporting leadership in project execution. The Manager is responsible for ensuring department budgetary guidelines and supports all clinical department IT requests and departmental facility needs.

This position reports to the Senior Director, Clinical Administration.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of detail orientation and accuracy, particularly as it applies to operational efficiency and policy compliance in healthcare, finance and/or public sector operations. Supervisory experience should include managing teams of 6 or more direct reports with an emphasis on effective communication skills, project management and a flexible approach to change. The ability to build relationships internally and externally with stakeholders of varying specialties and backgrounds will be key to success in the role. Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and two years of related work experience OR

Master’s Degree and one year of related work experience.

Related Experience: Direct management of staff, budgets and accounting experience

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in clinical administration
