We are hiring Software Development Engineers at all levels for a building new products as well incorporating new features in existing products. In this role you have the opportunity to build new microservices or bring fresh perspective to customer experience in Desktop and Mobile. Where applicable, you will use native AWS services to build these components that can scale up based on business necessities. You will also design appropriate monitors and alarms to detect outages and take part in team oncall to ensure that the product meets the high availability bar customers expect of Amazon.
Key job responsibilities
As a Principal Technical Program Manager (P-TPM), you will define, own and drive technical programs that span multiple engineering teams and organizational boundaries. You will partner with product management and technical leadership to identify company-wide opportunities to simplify and automate the work done by engineering teams to maintain customer privacy. You will help identify new areas of investment and work to align other group's engineering roadmaps to deliver on these opportunities and optimize delivery outcomes. As a technical leader, you will influence strategy and outcomes across different Amazon organizations.
This role is inherently cross-functional and requires a strong ability to communicate, influence and earn the trust of software engineers, technical and business leadership.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $141,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of engineering experience
- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

- 9+ years of technical product or program management experience
