Position Summary

The Interim HR Generalist is responsible for supporting managers with full-cycle recruitment and HR tasks from April 2025 through July 2025. It acts as an information source for all applicants and employees answering routine employment inquiries. It is fundamental to assist the HR team with creative strategies and tactics to attract job seekers. The HR Generalist tracks recruitment data, measures the return on investment, and performs a variety of human resources clerical duties to assist in a productive and efficient department operation. In addition, the interim HR Generalist facilitates the best possible applicant and employee experience through exceptional attention to guest service and works directly with multiple departments assisting with the entire recruitment process and overall HR support. This role reports to the Senior HR Manager.  

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:  

  • Works closely with Talent Acquisition on all recruitment needs including but not limited to posting requisitions, screening resumes, phone screening candidates, scheduling interviews, calendaring and scheduling for hiring teams and candidates, notifying candidates of decisions, starting background checks or paperwork, closing the job posting, and onboarding the hired employee.  

  • Responsible for onboarding seasonal and year-round employees at Mt. Bachelor and Sun Country Tours. Functions as a key member of the summer recruiting and onboarding program and supports employees through the paperwork process.  

  • Champions a world-class candidate experience throughout the hiring and onboarding process. Maintains exceptional employee experience following onboarding.  

  • Maintain Recruiter inbox as needed, assist with monitoring and reporting as needed, assist with off-site recruiting as needed, assist with creative campaigns, and all other operations as needed. 

  • Operates under a continuous improvement mindset in elevating the recruitment and onboarding process for all involved. 

Support Payroll & HR Operations:   

  • Supporting managers with timekeeping/absence inquiries.  

  • Completing unemployment claims in a timely and accurate manner.  

  • Running select HR & termination reports for IT and Risk. 

  • Handle ER intakes as needed. 

  • Perform monthly labor reporting and analysis. 

  • Perform compliance audits (bachelor way attendance, performance review completion, etc). 

General HR Support: 

  • Supports Mt Bachelor’s employee service outlet, The Stash, through peak times and additionally as needed.   

  • During peak guest times, all HR staff may support Guest Services, Food and Beverage, and/or other departments. 

  • Additional duties as assigned. 

Experience

  • 1-2 years of proven work experience as a recruiter or assisting in an HR department or in sales or
