Job Description

We are seeking Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) for an Inpatient Breast role. You would oversee patients on the Inpatient Breast medicine team.  The team is led by APPs in collaboration with medical oncologist and hospitalists to care for patients who are admitted with treatment related side effects and symptom management.

 

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will join a team of over 900 NPs and PAs across MSK who are dedicated to delivering compassionate, expert and comprehensive cancer care to patients and families. 

 

HOURS: 12.5 hour shifts, 6a-7:30p weekend and holiday rotation is required

YOU WILL:

- Collaborate with multiple physicians and healthcare team members

- Deliver comprehensive care to inpatient GU patients, in addition to clinical trial phase 1 patients

- Meet the medical needs of patients

- Participate in the implementation of patient education and clinical support programs to ensure optimal care throughout the healthcare continuum

 

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED FOR AN NP CANDIDATE ARE:

  • Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations
  • Master’s degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
  • A Minimum of 2+ years of clinical RN with inpatient medical oncology experience required
  • Related National NP certification
  • BLS/ ACLS certification
  • QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED FOR A PA CANDIDATE ARE:

  • Graduate from an accredited PA program
  • A minimum of 0-1+ years of experience as an experienced PA in medical oncology preferred
  • NCCPA certification
  • Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure
  • BLS/ACLS certification

    Pay Range $136,000-180,000K
