Business Development Manager

Job Summary:

Add value to business growth activities by pursuing new commercial opportunities in a specific division. Coordinate with  others as needed to acquire new customers and manage existing client relationships within the division.  Promote and expand the company’s commercial activity to generate profitable sales and sustainable growth.

Qualifications

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Understand the requirements of existing customers to ensure their needs are being met.
• Act to acquire new customers and manage beverage client relationships (new and existing).
• Support and Collaborate with other business teams (marketing, sales, customer service, etc.)
• Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for management.
• Assist in securing business that meets the financial targets and budget requirements of the operations site making the products sold.
• Adhering to the financial policies of the origination.
• Knowing financial boundaries and approvals needed.
• Business travel as required.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Proven experience managing relationships with key clients.
• Proven experience in product development, technical service, or other relevant role.
• In-depth understanding of business products and services.
• Strong knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

 

Education and Experience:

Minimum BA/BSc in Business, Technical, or a related field.

10 years experience minimum in label, printing, or packaging industry.

 

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Ability to access the production floor meeting all safety and security protocols at CCL and customer facilities.
