Principal Engineer, Cloud Products and Patterns

As a Principal Engineer for Cloud Products and Patterns within our Infrastructure & Cloud team, you will play a crucial role in evangelizing and developing cloud product strategies, solutions, and best practices across the organization. You will leverage your expertise to ensure strategic alignment, foster innovation, and drive the adoption of cutting-edge cloud technologies. Your leadership and vision will empower developers within LSEG to achieve seamless and efficient cloud infrastructure deployments, ensuring robust, secure and scalable cloud solutions
Core Responsibilities:
Evangelize cloud Products and Patterns strategy, solutions and best practices across the developer community
Develop and leverage trusted relationships across Architecture, Product and Other Technology leaders to ensure strategic alignment across Key Cloud Foundation initiatives
Share your passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiments and learn new technologies, participate in internal and external technology communities
Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion and out-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization and diversity
Designing patterns for cloud to enable emerging business initiatives
Develop and Utilizing Infrastructure As Code (IAC) tools like Terraform to build and manage cloud resources
Implement policies related to infrastructure, security, and compliance using Cloud policy framework and OPA
Required Skills:
Working knowledge of IAC concepts and cloud technology across CSPs (AWS & Azure)
Proficiency in declarative policy language, context-aware and expressive, architectural flexibility, and integrated development tools
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, code scanning tools, secrets management, Docker, and programming languages (Java/JavaScript, C#, Python)
Experience on any one of - GitHub, GitLab
Deep understanding of architecture principles and design methodologies
Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
Good communication skills and presentation skills
Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology
Qualification:
Must have a degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent work experience
10+ years in programming
5+ years of cloud experience with AWS, GCP, Azure or other cloud service
5+ years in DevOps automation across various technologies
3+ years implementing large-scale, end-to-end technology solutions in an enterprise setting
3+ years of experience in using open-source frameworks
2+ years of experience of using build and deployment tools (Jenkins, Docker)
