IT Concepts is looking for an experienced HR SME/ Sr. Advisor to support our USAID customer. Responsibilities:
As an HR SME for our federal sector client in the Human Capital group, you will:
- Develop team goals and lead your team to deliver superior results for your client
- Maintain a hands-on role to ensure deadlines are met and key deliverables are accurate
- Identify opportunities for efficiencies in work process and innovative approaches to completing scope of work for clients in the government and higher education sectors
- Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues in the areas of change management, strategic communications, learning and development, and overall HR strategy
- Conduct relevant research, data analysis, and create reports
- Manage team tasks, maintain responsibility for completion and accuracy of work products
- Understand and learn core processes of the business side of an organization, and also understand technology capabilities of underlying systems, looking for ways to optimize business processes & functions
- Suggest requirements and system enhancements for cloud-based technology packages, such as ServiceNow
- Meet with your team on a weekly basis to provide any process updates, communicate progress against plan and goals, identify new priorities, provide training based on quality review findings, and reward team members for exceeding expectations
- Work with the team to mitigate risks, solve any impediments to their success – work with them to avoid schedule delays where they can be avoided; help them plan and think through the plans thoroughly and document it
- Raise risks to the program manager when they can’t be solved within the team
- Understand the interconnections between other teams and ensure they are happening when needed
- Develop plans to manage anticipated spikes in workload and implement process changes as needed; collaborate with technology team to implement any enhancements needed to create efficiencies in process flows
- Manage team member performance, identifying strengths and development areas, and complete their performance reviews in a timely and comprehensive manner
- Develop presentations to show the status of the team’s work, plans to mitigate risks, plans to address workload anomalies, process improvement suggestions
- Assist with other duties as requested
Location: The position is primarily remote, but must be willing and able to travel to USAID HQs in Washington, DC.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience with HR Operations or relevant work experience
- Experience working with the Federal sector
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required client Facility Access
- Ability to travel for work onsite in Washington, DC if/as required
- Bachelor's degree
Preferred:
- Prior professional services or federal consulting experience
- Experience with business process re-engineering via digital solutions, such as ServiceNow, Salesforce, etc.
- Experience with customer service and problem solving
- Knowledge of process and data flows and the ability to identify bottlenecks and suggest streamlining processes or data flows
- Ability to train team members on procedures and how to communicate through multiple mediums (words, pictures, data, etc.) to reach different audiences
