This position can be based remotely anywhere in the U.S. (there may be some restrictions based on legal entity). Please note that this role would not provide relocation as a result. The expectation of working hours and travel (domestic and/or international) will be defined by the hiring manager. This position will require 10-20% travel.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the enterprise strategy and roadmap for Precision Health advanced capabilities and EMR informatics across therapeutic areas, ensuring alignment with business priorities, portfolio needs, and long-term innovation goals across digital health, diagnostics, decision support, data partnerships, and site-of-care technology enablement.
  • Drive prioritization of capability investments through governance processes, clear decision frameworks, and cross-functional alignment with Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Medical, Regulatory, Procurement, and other key stakeholders.
  • Develop and apply structured frameworks to assess solutions and partnerships based on value, customer relevance, feasibility, scalability, implementation complexity, risk, and sustainability.
  • Partner with external vendors and ecosystem stakeholders to evaluate, select, and advance solutions that can deliver broader-scale impact at the site of care.
  • Work closely with the Precision Health Field Leader and cross-functional partners to identify unmet needs, translate field and market insights into clear problem statements, and co-create innovative, technology-enabled solutions.
  • Lead the end-to-end design, pilot, evaluation, and scaling of decision-support and other site-of-care solutions, including defining success metrics, monitoring performance, and recommending expansion, refinement, or discontinuation.
  • Anticipate emerging trends and innovations across Precision Health and related markets, identifying whitespace opportunities and shaping strategies that strengthen Novartis’ competitive differentiation and position as a partner of choice.
  • Synthesize customer, field, analytics, and market insights to identify care gaps and workflow barriers, and lead or support external scouting efforts to source high-potential solutions and partners.
  • Serve as a key cross-functional connector across Precision Health, Medical, Commercial, Market Access, Data and Digital, Legal, Compliance, Procurement, and external partners to align priorities and accelerate execution.
  • Define KPIs, build business cases, and ensure successful initiatives are scalable, repeatable, and embedded into enterprise ways of working where appropriate.
  • Leverages AI tools to streamline tasks, generate content, and support decision-making, demonstrating practical fluency in prompting, interpreting, and refining AI outputs to improve work quality and efficiency.
  • Lead development of informatics-enabled approaches to clinical trial acceleration through collaboration with provider research informatics teams, EHR vendors, and real-world data partners

Essential Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in healthcare/pharma/diagnostics/health informatics/technology.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a digital health business development role(s).
  • Prior experience & expertise in project management, tech partnerships, 3rd party data partnerships inclusive of clinical decision support, diagnostic or tech partnership alliance and therapeutic delivery.
  • Proven track record in meeting objectives aligned to cross-functional partnership and shared priorities across therapeutic areas.
