The desired candidate will have specific experience with vegetation removals, guardrail repairs, concrete structures (repair and replacement), and preservative seal/dust palliative applications, equipment operations, along with focusing on safety, customer service, and leadership skills.

We Require

• High school diploma or GED

• Three years of related construction or maintenance work experience

• Must possess a valid Arizona Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

• State and federal regulations require Maricopa County to conduct a pre-employment safety history investigation for all positions that require an applicant to possess a commercial driver’s license (CDL). Maricopa County is also required to conduct a pre-employment safety history investigation for positions that directly impact commercial motor vehicle safety, but may not specifically require a valid CDL

Job Contributions

• Supervise employees performing operations and maintenance activities; assure that all safety rules and regulations are observed on the job site

• Plan, prioritize, and assign daily work to meet project needs and schedules; assure completion of work orders to meet Division standards, and monitor equipment and material usage reports

• Prepare and process costs; estimate time, labor, equipment, and materials needed for projects and work orders; may order, purchase, pick up, and deliver materials, supplies, tools, and equipment. Assist in budget preparation and administration, and monitor expenditures

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and maps, and inspect roadways and structures to determine project scopes and maintenance needs

• Complete daily written reports, and enter information in the asset management system (Cartegraph)

• Resolve and respond to complaints and inquiries from the public and various government agencies

• Provide on-call emergency response services, as scheduled

• Direct the daily activities of assigned staff; coordinates and schedules staff, vehicles, and equipment; review the work of staff to assure the work quality and timely accomplishment of assigned duties and r
