We are currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our team in Batesville, IN.
Your Role at Batesville:
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and leading the timely, effective completion of multi-site projects aimed at lowering costs or improving processes and quality. Provide engineering support to the entire Batesville Supply Chain (operations and logistics) to drive improvements in areas of safety, quality, cost, and delivery.

What You’ll Do:
- Project Implementation
- Act as project manager for strategic sourcing, product redesign and process improvement projects
- Organize, develop, and execute project timelines and deliverables
- Change Management
- Present and manage product and process change proposals
- Develop, revise, approve specifications for parts/products
- Conduct trials and tests to support the approval of products and processes
- Capital Projects
- Develop and gain approval for funding requests
- Manage capital projects and budgets
- Improvement Opportunities
- Identify opportunities for improvements in products and/or processes
- Lead the financial analysis and feasibility studies of proposed changes
- Organize and lead benchmarking opportunities and idea generation events
- Design and Engineering Principles
- Execute principals of design and engineering philosophies
- Read, analyze, and develop part prints.
- Act as technical expert for design criteria
- Assure system and product quality by designing and executing testing methods
- Collect and interpret data through research and measurement
- Lean Business Principles
- Lead and participate in CI events and other Lean initiatives company wide
- Follow and Tech Lean principles and practices
- Other
- Perform supplier audits and aid with quality issue resolution
- Other duties may be assigned
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university in engineering or related field
- Minimum of 5 years related engineering experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in project management, product design, or similar engineering disciplines
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
