Your Role and Responsibilities
The IBM Finance and Operations organization is a values-driven team responsible for driving enterprise performance and IBM’s transformation. This position will support IBM’s Mergers & Acquisitions mission of integrating recent acquisitions in order to realize the return on these significant and strategic decisions. The intern hired will work side-by-side with our project management team, actively working on tasks associated with live integrations.

Integration Project Managers coordinate implementation activities across the functional teams within IBM. They work as advocates for the business unit and the Integration leadership to direct project plan activities, raise/resolve issues, assess risks and ensure alignment with the acquisitions committed Value Drivers. They provide implementation execution status as required. They act as an Agile Coach and use Agile skills, techniques, tools, and methodologies to manage the project to end of the lifecycle through hand-off to the business unit.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Project management skills.
  • General understanding of key business functions.
  • Successful with multiple communication styles/formats.
  • Problem solver.
  • Experience leading projects.
  • Self-starter. Passionate, Pro-active, and Independent.
  • Strong background in Microsoft Excel / Microsoft Office Suite
  • Currently pursuing a college degree in Business, Finance, Operations or other related fields


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Finance or Business Bachelor’s Degree (Rising Senior preferred)
