Data Analyst at Asset Impact - Berlin
GRESBAbout the role
This job description is for a position at Asset Impact (AI), an impact-driven climate-data company that has been part of GRESB since 2022.
We are looking for a skilled Data Analyst to join our team who is passionate about sustainability and loves to analyze complex data sources and improve data-related processes. This person should embrace a start-up mentality and be excited to take on new challenges as we discover them.
Responsibilities
As a Data Analyst, you'll leverage your analytical expertise to interpret data and uncover insights that drive our quality control processes, ensuring the accurate integration and communication of findings. You will also coordinate data provider feedback tracking and name-matching processes, ensuring data accuracy and smooth workflow during the refresh of our database. Additionally, you'll respond to client queries and contribute to business development or research efforts as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use your analytical skills to interpret data and generate insights that support decision-making across the Data, Client Support, and Product teams.
- Support different stages of the quarterly database refresh process, focusing on checking and ensuring the quality of our data (quality assurance and control).
- Coordinate, refine, and enhance our name-matching process, ensuring accuracy and consistency, including playing a pivotal role in improving the workflow to maintain high data quality.
- Collaborate closely with data providers to improve the data quality. This includes researching and tracking client’s feedback on our data, reviewing and consolidating the feedback collected by the rest of the team, sharing this feedback with providers, and ensuring the feedback is implemented.
- Prepare and review data products for clients, ensuring they meet their specific requirements and expectations.
- Respond effectively to client queries, providing clear and actionable responses. This often involves linking our data to publicly available information, such as company data, sector insights, or country-level statistics.
- Support business areas with product insights, including business development and product research, contributing to projects as needed.
Asset Impact is a fast-growing, impact-driven company, so your role could evolve. This means you will have opportunities to suggest, explore, and develop new tools and insights that can help Asset Impact achieve its impact-driven mission. It also means that your role and responsibilities will be driven by the growth of Asset Impact and your skills and interests. Likewise, besides your main focus, you can be involved in other activities such as building company culture, supporting recruitment, liaising with external stakeholders (e.g., financial institutions, research institutions, data providers, etc.), and/or helping our technical efforts.
