The anticipated salary range for this role is between $238,000.00 and $265,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.
Role Description
The Head of Finance, HR & Procurement Technologies is responsible for oversight and daily management of both cross-functional and internal projects that involve designing and building enterprise finance, procurement & HR technologies in a vendor-based SaaS (Software as a Service) in a cloud environment for SMBC AD entities by working closely with multiple vendors and business stakeholders.
The incumbent will oversee the JRIA IT teams responsible for the respective functional areas including integration with data sources across AD entities. Business stakeholders include Financial Controllers, Procurement & Human Resources as well as other internal customers. The preferred candidate will demonstrate passion and expertise for leading strategic initiatives to implement AD (Americas Division) wide General Ledger, Procurement and Human Resources technologies to enable daily business as well as day-to-day operational execution responsibilities. As a Senior level contributor, the candidate must demonstrate strong communication and relationship building competencies. Strong Program and project management skills are also key requirements.

Role Objectives
- Reviews all system development project requests and coordinates related team activities; meets with business stakeholders and other technical teams to gather and analyze requirements.
- Provides technical and thought leadership around cloud technologies and ecosystems, including Financial, Procurement & HR cloud data architecture and integration, and can guide the team in terms of exploring new and emerging business solutions.
- Develop and implement tactical plans and strategic objectives for the department in an effective and innovative fashion.
- Apply strong Program/ Project Management skills, turn the strategic vision into an actional project and drive the project to conclusion.
- Provides high level technical support to IT partners by leading the troubleshooting processes and working towards providing fixes where required.
- Provides written reports to management regarding project status, tasks, and issues/risks.
- Takes lead in building related activities, discussions, environment setup implementation schedule/changes promoted to the test & production environments.
- Actively participates in planning sessions, meetings & interfaces regularly with senior level counter parts across multiple business units.
- Maintains effective relationships with vendors and suppliers; resolves issues and maintains ongoing communication.
