About the role

Ōura is an award-winning and fast-growing startup that helps people track all stages of sleep and activity using the Ōura Ring and connected app. By providing daily feedback and practical steps to inspire healthy lifestyles, we’ve helped over one million people improve their sleep, understand their bodies, and transform their health. We’re on a mission to empower every person to own their inner potential, and we’re seeking candidates who want to make an impact on our journey.

For us, empowering the world starts with living our values and empowering our team. As a quickly growing company focused on helping people live healthier and happier lives, we work to promote work-life balance and ensure that our team members have what they need to do their best work — both in and out of the office.

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Learning and Development Specialist for the Member Experience (MX) team. You will help create and execute a scalable learning and development strategy — from onboarding to continuous learning and upskilling — to enable both internal and external Member Care Specialists to provide an excellent experience for all Oura members. You’ll work closely with other MX leaders and cross-functional teams to assess training needs, create and update materials, and measure the effectiveness of various types of training programs.

What you will do:

  • L&D program strategy and development: Develop, guide, and manage scalable learning programs for the global Member Care Team to enable a superb member experience. Help establish baseline knowledge requirements for individuals in line with their level/seniority.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Partner across different teams (MX leadership, Marketing, Product, etc.) to ensure the Member Care Team is trained on all the new/updated product launches, marketing campaigns, and policy changes.
  • Program execution: Develop and deliver high-quality training programs, including instructor-led training, online/self-guided training (via an LMS), and other training methods as appropriate.
  • Content development and review: Partner with other content teams to ensure L&D materials are up-to-date, consistent, and connected across internal and external support channels (e.g., Help Center). Evaluate feedback from relevant stakeholders and partners, and prioritize and incorporate back into content.
  • Program success analysis: Analyze program feedback, key metrics, and ROI, adjust content/program where needed, and continually look for innovative best practices to improve the learner experience and outcomes.

Requirements

We would love to have you on our team, if you have:

  • 6+ years experience in training/L&D at a hyper-growth company
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theory
  • Ability to design and implement effective training and development for multiple groups at scale
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in building relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Experience in analysis to inform key decision making and monitor team/program performance
  • Experience using LMS software strongly preferred
  • Experience using Zendesk, Slack, Asana, GSuite preferred
  • BA/BS degree preferred
