The Parts Sales Professional is a critical member of the Transactional Sales team within the Service Sales organization. Responsibilities

The responsibility of the Parts Sales Professional is to oversee sales of Vestas and non-Vestas turbine parts to several key customers located within the US and Canada. Vestas supplies turbine owners and service providers with the spare parts and consumables required to ensure the continuous operation of their wind turbine assets. To be effective, the individual in this role will develop sales leads, customer engagement activities, sales quotes and orders, and related sales order handling activities. Most of the sales activities for spare parts are managed through digital sales channels, Salesforce, and SAP.

 

Sales Management

  • Secure customer loyalty by delivering best-in-class sales order support and professionalism.

  • Monitor sales order status from order placement to shipment, issue resolution and invoicing.

  • Identify new opportunities for increasing the sales of Vestas and non-Vestas wind turbine parts with 2-3 key accounts.

  • Work with internal stakeholders in a global environment to build lasting partnerships and to promote effective part sales execution.

 

General Business Activities

  • Support Vestas safety policies and maintain safety standards.

  • Seek opportunities to improve sales processes and communicate ideas through appropriate channels.

  • Promote a sharing and learning environment in which others are developed throughout the organization.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing communications, or engineering, or equivalent experience

  • Two years of experience in commercial sales or sales support for an OEM

  • Technical experience in the wind turbine industry, power generation or similar (preferred)

 

Competencies

  • Knowledge and experience reading and complying with terms of sales agreements

  • Ability to handle situations in which professionalism and a positive attitude help to develop and achieve partnerships with internal stakeholders and customers

  • Focused individual who can adapt to a complex and dynamic business model

  • Comprehensive verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience working with quantitative analyses and Microsoft Excel/Power BI

  • Experience working with enterprise resource program (ERP), SAP and SAP BI suite are preferred

  • Experience working with CRM software, Salesforce preferred

  • Ability to achieve results via a team and as an individual contributor

  • Motivated, curious, and hard-working, with the desire to deliver positive results

  • Ability to communicate and work effectively in a multi-cultural matrix organization

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, Outlook)
