PURPOSE:
The position is responsible providing technology application support, troubleshooting and maintaining the Financial System during its’ life cycle. This includes coordinating testing, enhancements and upgrades to the software. Helping maintain the configuration and security roles in compliance with SECU policies and guidelines.
This includes assisting other accounting areas with system data configuration for accounting initiatives and coordinating the enhancement of business processes through the financial system. The position is engaged with IS and SECU business operations to stay aware of changes that impact all accounting reporting and Accounting EDP environments.
DIMENSIONS:
This is specialized work including: configuration, enhancement, maintenance updating and support of the Financial System.
Emphasis is on excellent communication skills, both in oral and written form, broad knowledge of Credit Union operations and advanced financial, accounting, technical and analytical skills.
DUTIES:
Responsible for assisting with Workday Finance technical configuration including business process workflow, custom fields, custom validations, account posting rules, and custom reports.
Responsible for having moderate knowledge and understanding of the Workday system and configuration; and continue education via the Workday Learning Center.
Responsible for creating and maintaining advanced, composite, and matrix Workday custom reports and resolving system issues.
Help support regression testing and introduction of required changes as new Workday releases are introduced.
Assist Accounting with Financial Close Process by monitoring Period Close task and closing Workday modules.
Support departments assisting to resolve issues with configuration, business process workflow, journal entries, integrations, custom reports, and security.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have four-year degree (preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Business).
Five years of Financial System experience, with minimum 2-5 years of workday or similar financial system administrator experience.
Ability to analyze data, security, and configurations to develop and implement solutions to advanced and complex Workday issues.
Knowledge of Workday configurations, security, and reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis using standard formulas, pivot tables, and v-lookups.
Strong leadership and mentoring skills to assists with Workday training for lower-level analyst.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to adjust to tight and changing deadlines and priorities.
Understanding of accounting principles.
Experience with SECU preferred.
Thorough knowledge of Accounting principles.
Ability to work well with others to complete tasks.
Dedication to the Credit Union philosophy.
Desire for continuous education to support job goals.
Ability to travel when required.
Must be able to speak English fluently.
Must be able to cooperate and collaborate with co-workers.
Must be cordial in all interactions with members and co-workers.
Must adhere to the work schedule and attendance policy established by manager.

Must be able to comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructions.
Job requires a substantial amount of sitting.

Must be able to comprehend phone calls.
Must be able to lift 5 pounds.
