Operations Assistant Manager

Job Summary:
The Assistant Manager of Operations supports the daily management of warehouse activities, ensuring smooth operations, efficient workflow, and compliance with company policies. This role assists in supervising warehouse staff, coordinating shipments, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Operations Support (50%)
Assist in managing daily warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.

Support the execution of production schedules and work priorities.

Help coordinate work activities among staff to maintain an efficient workflow.

Assist in monitoring warehouse space utilization to optimize storage and reduce unnecessary movement.

Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.

Support inventory control by helping track shipments, verifying quantities, and addressing discrepancies.

Compliance & Safety (10%)
Ensure adherence to safety regulations, company policies, and sanitation standards.

Assist in verifying shipments and maintaining accurate records of inventory movement.

Help implement best practices for maintaining workplace safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership & Supervision (25%)
Assist in training, coaching, and supervising warehouse staff.

Help assign and prioritize tasks to ensure operational goals are met.

Support employee scheduling, time tracking, and attendance management.

Provide feedback to staff and assist in performance management.

Customer Service & Communication (15%)
Communicate with clients regarding order fulfillment, shipment tracking, and operational updates.

Assist in resolving client inquiries, requests, and escalations in a timely manner.

Maintain effective communication with internal teams to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of two years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with leadership experience preferred.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Requires standing, lifting, and operating warehouse equipment.

Work may involve exposure to varying temperatures and warehouse conditions.
