The Team:
Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) is Tasmania’s largest hospital, and the Community Physiotherapy unit is part of the RHH Physiotherapy service. Community Physiotherapy provides outpatient and home visiting services across southern Tasmania. As the major clinical teaching and research centre, RHH works closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions. All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.
The Role:
This position will be based in community health centres in southern Tasmania and or the RHH central clinic. If a health centre is more than 30km from Hobart city, travel will be in work time and a vehicle provided. The Senior Physiotherapist will have clinical oversight of diverse patient presentations including but not limited to musculoskeletal, post-surgery or acute hospital presentations, and falls, balance and peripheral vestibular disorders. There are expectations of being involvement in quality improvement initiatives and supervision.You will need:
- Extensive general physiotherapy experience.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise professional judgement and initiative and to work with minimal supervision in a complex work environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge and demonstrated clinical competencies of the principles of management related to designated area of physiotherapy.

Details of appointment:
Fixed term, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 21 March 2027.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $110,425 to $121,907 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Agreement Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.2 of 2022
