This role in summary
In this role, you will support and direct the scheduling portion of materials. You will be responsible for the SIOP (Sales Inventory and Operations Planning) process from the MFG level. You will develop operational plans for finished goods and adhere to DOS (Days of Supply), and financial guidelines, while delivering key metrics on Availability, Backorders, Cost.
You will be responsible for reconciling with the FDC (Factory Distribution Center), for all finished goods product and tracking of each product produced, as well as key responsibility for the year finished goods inventory and accuracy.
You will guide cross functional team leaders through production issues and crisis mitigation, with a heavy emphasis on driving operational efficiency, Labor Cost Per Unit (LCPU) reduction, and system-wide innovation.
Your responsibilities will include
- Operational Excellence: Deliver achievable schedules to operations, monitor daily targets (Assy Yield, Actualization, Availability, Backorders, Operational plan tracking).
- Proactively manage short and long term planning horizons, to meet the needs of our trade partners and our suppliers signals within SAP.
- Manage and develop operational planning to apply to the SIOP (Sales, Inventory and operational plan) for all finished good assy lines. Which may include line rate balancing, overtime, downdays to control DOS, and the delivery to trade partners.
- AI & Systems Innovation: Champion the adoption of digital manufacturing tools, AI-driven predictive analytics, and automated tracking systems to streamline scheduling, minimize downtime, and modernize legacy processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive improvements across the department using World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methods and tools, specifically leveraging data and systems automation to scale successful initiatives.
- Leadership & Culture: Foster a culture of teamwork, innovation, integrity, and excellence. Embedment of data-driven decision-making into daily routines.
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Research, Business, or a related quantitative discipline.
- 6+ years of manufacturing experience
- 2+ years of experience supervising or leading a team
Preferred skills and experiences
- SAP Mastery ~ : Advanced ability to navigate and configure MRP/ERP systems
- Strong understanding Excel, Google Suites sheets, Macros capability a plus
- World Class Manufacturing (WCM) knowledge focus on Logistics (LCS)
- Strong understanding in lean principles and methodologies
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills
