The Red Hat Quality Engineering team is seeking a Software Quality Engineer to join us in EMEA. This team serves as the final checkpoint before code is released to the public. In this role, you will perform integration, and automation testing on Red Hat's cloud infrastructure project, Red Hat OpenStack Platform.
The team focus is Network Functions Virtualization architectures and solutions. You'll be encouraged to come up with innovative solutions to problems while you work alongside some of the brightest engineers in the open-source community.

What you will do
- Participate in the Ret Hat’s OpenStack release cycle testing
- Develop and Implement automatic test scenarios alongside the open-source community
- Design and develop a testing framework in Python for various environments of cloud infrastructure
- Configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
- Participate in the design sessions of the product side by side with cloud architects and project managers to scope, prioritize new features and propose appropriate test strategies
- Solve problems, perform deep root cause analysis and write accurate bug reports
- Develop and maintain automation jobs using Jenkins, Python and Ansible
- Constantly learn new things and maintain an overview of current technologies
What you will bring
- Practical experience with installing and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or UNIX-like operating systems
- Practical experience in Python (Writing and improve the functionality of program)
- Knowledge of networking protocols (Troubleshooting, resolving, and communicating networking issues)
- Knowledge of continuous integration, pipelines, or Zuul/Jenkins
- Experience with Git/Github or other version control system
- Solid written and verbal communication skills in English
Following are considered a plus:
- Experience with cloud computing environments or virtualization technologies like OpenStack, AWS, VMware, KVM, and Xen.
- Experience with Ansible, Groovy
- Experience with SRIOV & DPDK technologies
