Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Assistant Director of Development, FAU Osher Lifelong Learning Institute -Jupiter – Jupiter, FL.

Summary of Responsibilities include:

• Plan and implement strategies to move new and existing donors up the fundraising pipeline by identifying and qualifying new prospects; maintaining meaningful relationships with a portfolio of existing prospects; and soliciting prospects through personal visits and tailored outreach.
• Identify, cultivate, and solicit new gift commitments at the $25,000+ level from individual donors for high-priority current and restricted-use programs, initiatives, and endowed funds.  Work with the manager to set goals for visits, proposals submitted, proposals accepted, and funds generated for each fiscal year.
• Contribute to and sustain a robust pipeline of donors at the annual giving levels ($1,000-$9,999 and $10,000+) through existing communications and event vehicles and develop strategies to identify and accelerate major gift prospects into active states of cultivation.  Work with the manager to set goals for visits, asks, gifts closed, and total funds raised for each fiscal year.
• Steward existing donor community through individual and group stewardship activity that seeks to inform, inspire, and motivate enhanced giving.  Coordinate through activities led by OLLI leadership, and community relations leaders on the Jupiter Campus, schedule programs and events. Partner with Donor Relations and Advancement Events for signature prospect/donor events.
• Support OLLI Advisory Council development activity.  Guide development committees’ fundraising activity that raises gift revenue for priority programs. Lead volunteers in identifying prospects and making introductions.  Keep committees on target and productive.  Manage development activity follow-up and communication with members and the board.
• Maintain appropriate records and prepare follow-up analyses of all personal visits and solicitations.  Provide timely post-visit follow-up, including tracking moves and solicitations, and sending personalized follow-ups to individual prospects.
• Personalized follow-ups with individual prospects.
• Make donor referrals to OLLI Jupiter major gift officer.
