Position Summary

The Software development engineer is a position in the Aetna Technology Small Group Sales Quoting and Rating domain with knowledge and proven experience in JAVA technology.  In this role you will design, code, test, debug, document, deploy, and support solutions that ultimately support overall success of the domain.

 As a Software Development Engineer with CVS Health,

·       Excellent communication and time management skills in addition to a firm understanding of agile life cycle and methodology.

·       Lead the design of efficient and user-friendly software products to advance and support business needs and required to be hands on with coding.

·       Establishes a clear vision aligned with company values; sets specific challenging and achievable objectives and action plans; motivates others to balance customer needs, budgets, and business success.

·       Supports both the business and technical understanding of the customer experience, back-end technologies/capabilities and business operations.

·       Ability to manage to a timeline in a fast-paced business environment

·       Participate as member of a Scrum team in technical lead and software development role

·       Ideal candidate has experience with Cloud migrations (Red hat, Azure OpenShift Container) and DevSecOps (Github, Jenkins, Urban code deploy, Sona type) adoption.

·       Ensures security and performance standards are kept up to date

·       Participates and provides feedback in architecture and design reviews, champions improvements and ensures high fidelity and consistent implementation throughout the product.

·       Collaborates very closely with Architects, Business Analyst,  Business Stakeholders, Product Owners to ensure the technical delivery of the business goals.

·       Perform high and low-level design, provide pseudo codes, and conduct design reviews.

Required Qualifications

·       2+ years of experience in IT with an emphasis on engineering development·      

·       1-2 years of development experience in Java, spring boot, microservices·      

Preferred Qualifications

·       Experience with AGILE methodology. End to End Domain level Agile model.

·       Experience in Jenkins, CI/CD Pipeline, GIT, and other DevOps principles.

·       Ability to multi-task and rapid context switch between dynamic project priorities.

2+ years Angular or similar front end experience

·       Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills

·       Demonstrates leadership and motivation skills

·       Strong communication and organizational skills.

·       Experience with the Azure and GCP public cloud platforms.

·       Experience with microservices & webservice based API integrations.
