Overview

Position Summary:

The Senior Internal Sales Development Representative is responsible for managing and developing a sales territory that includes Financial Institutions and Independent Insurance Agencies of various profiles within a given territory. 

 

Preferred Candidates will reside in Oklahoma or Texas.

Geo-Salary Information

State specific pay scales for this role are as follows:

$68,141 to $119,013 (NV, OR, AZ, CO, WY, TX, ND, MN, MO, IL, WI, FL, GA, MI, OH, VA, PA, DE, VT, NH, ME)

$61,327 to $107,112 (UT, ID, MT, NM, SD, NE, KS, OK, IA, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, IN, SC, NC, WV)

The expected base salary for this position will vary depending on a number of factors, including relevant experience, skills and location.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions: 

Key responsibilities include:

• Results-based planning for virtual media and phone sales calls within assigned agency assignments. 

• Provides feedback and recommendations to management concerning market conditions, service levels, and effectiveness of MSMC programs.

• Responds to telephone and written correspondence, comments, questions, and concerns from financial institutions and agents.

• Responsible for profitable development of agencies within agency assignments.

• Influences agents to quote and sell MSMC products to customers.

• Executes the sales strategy of growing MSMC market share within assigned territory. 

• Articulates a needs-based sales process that is mutually beneficial and identifies solutions to agency needs.

• Completes strategic plan for assigned agencies to identify opportunities and potential challenges.

• Possesses thorough knowledge of MSMC’s systems and point of sales platform and can assist financial institutions and agencies when needed. 

• Ensure that the financial institution and agency teams are fully trained.

• Understands MSMC focus, business appetites and capitalizes on opportunities to sell MSMC products. 

• Articulates company position and seeks out business with appropriate agencies to meet objectives.

• Drive results through regular contact with assigned financial institutions and agencies, utilizing effective communication skills backed with data and metrics to achieve a mutually agreed upon plan. Holds financial institution management and agency owners accountable for mutually agreed upon goals.

• Able to communicate and explain difficult situations and achieve buy-in both internally and externally.

• Provides consistent follow-up and follow-through with financial Institutions, signed agencies and MSMC team members.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications

Education: 

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Experience:

• At least 5 years Insurance industry experience preferred.

• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Must possess strong written, phone, and virtual communication skills to effectively collaborate and build relationships with agency staff and team members.

• Must be comfortable participating in video conference calls or webinars as needed. 

• Must be able to interact professionally with financial institutions, agencies and other team members to accomplish territory goals.

• Must communicate effectively to support Company policies, offer technical guidance, and facilitate training sessions as needed.

• Analytical- understand and interpret data

• Business agility: can pivot and adjust quickly to changes in market conditions.

• Creative and Resourceful

• Must be able to train financial institutions and agencies virtually through webinars combining our AI training videos with personal insights and knowledge.

• You must be able to travel by automobile and/or airline 25% of the time for financial institution, agency, and company meetings or events.

• Strong organization and time management skills.  

• Ability to motivate, monitor, and develop assigned financial institutions, and agencies to maintain knowledgeable and well-trained teams. 

• Negotiating and mediating skills to achieve resolutions and explain Company policies.

• Ability to analyze complex reports and work on multiple assigned projects with the ability to prioritize time for each project.

• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products.

• Working knowledge of CRM system(s)
