Job Description

As a Security Professional - Retail Patrol in Central Valley, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a retail or mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, responding to incidents, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity in every interaction.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior or security-related incidents within the retail environment.
• Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site policies.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members regarding security-related matters.
• Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid New York Security Guard License is preferred.
• A valid guard card or security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
