Carnegie Hall seeks an Accounts Payable Associate. As a member of the Finance Department, the Accounts Payable Associate will be responsible for managing the organization’s financial obligations to vendors and suppliers. They ensure timely and accurate payment processing while maintaining strong vendor relationships and contributing to the company’s financial well-being.

Essential Job Functions:

• Processing vendor invoices and contracts for payment, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies
• Verifying invoices, purchase orders, and other supporting documentation
• Preparing and initiating electronic payments (ACH and wires) and checks
• Managing accounts payable records and files
• Communicating with vendors to resolve payment issues or inquiries
• Reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies
• Providing supporting documentation for audits
• Participate in the implementation of new Accounts Payable software
• Participate in special projects as needed

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Min 2-3 years relevant experience in accounts payable
• Exposure and experience in non-profit accounting is preferable but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with internal and external vendors
• Solid organizational skills: the ability to be productive under pressure in a fast-paced team environment
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong Computer skills including Excel and knowledge of MIP accounting system is desirable
