Director, People Success Business Partners, GTM

Navan is looking for a Director, People Success Business Partners focused on our North America Go-to-Market teams. We are looking for a leader with experience with Sales, Account Management, Marketing, and Customer Success teams in a global environment. This person can operate at a rapidly growing and changing company by being able to deal with ambiguity and multiple moving pieces, while still holding up quality, long-term thinking, and delivering value to business leaders. Most importantly, the successful candidate will also be able to have fun and inspire the team to deliver the best of themselves.
People Success means just that - you and your team will partner with leaders and help them and their teams be successful in their respective roles. As a leader of this organization, you will ensure the alignment of People initiatives with business objectives and business needs. The Director, People Success will work in close partnership with multiple executive leaders and teams within our GTM business with your primary stakeholder being the CRO. In this role, you will work closely with senior leadership to understand the business, talent needs, and be an advocate for innovation, positive employee experiences, and driving our People Strategy to fruition.
This role will report into the Senior Director, People Success and based out of our Palo Alto or San Francisco offices. We are a hybrid model with in-office expectation of three days a week.
What You'll Do:
- Consulting leadership on organizational design, people matters, manager coaching & development, performance and talent management, organizational realignment and workforce planning, hiring & retention strategies, and People program development and implementation
- Results-driven individual that can build credibility & trust with leaders and employees across all levels
- Deep business acumen and collaborative mindset, with the executional know-how of helping to build & scale teams globally through ongoing development, support and engagement of employees
- Analytical and critical thinking with a metrics-driven approach to talent solutions and the ability to leverage people analytics and insights to create compelling narratives for change to gain sponsorship
- Empathetic partner who actively listens, and provides coaching to employees and managers through complex and confidential situations
- Lead People Success initiatives every quarter to continue to build and improve our foundation as an organization and programs for employees
- Partner with leaders to develop people strategies to further their business objectives
- Identify and deploy impactful people strategies and policies that enable the Sales, Account Management, Customer Success and Marketing organization to perform and scale effectively as it grows
- Manage a team within our People Success organization
- Assess qualitative and quantitative data to identify trends, tell a story, and create ways to support our employees and improve our business.
- Lead investigations or other activities that relates to employee relations as needed
- Lead compensation analyses and talent reviews
- Facilitate workshops for manager, employee enablement, and team building
- Partner in fostering a culture that supports our mission by supporting the design and implementation of engagement and recognition initiatives and programs
- Proven track record of building and improving employee experience at top-notch organizations
What We're Looking For:
- 8+ years of HRBP/ People Partner role in a fast paced environment or high growth tech company
- 3+ years demonstrated success as a people manager of high performing team
- An expert in influencing, navigating, and executing across a business with multiple senior level leaders and priorities
- Ability to work in a fast moving and changing environment
- Exceptional consultative skills
- Ability to deliver on commitments while working autonomously
- Strong relationship building skills
- A curious and inquisitive nature
- Ability to learn and adapt to changing business priorities
- Resilience and forward-thinking approach
- Must have a “we” vs “i” mentality
- Relevant bachelor or master degree
The posted pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the compensation for this position and is subject to change based on business need. To determine a successful candidate’s starting pay, we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location, an evaluation of the candidate’s skills and experience, market demands, and internal parity.
For roles with on-target-earnings (OTE), the pay range includes both base salary and target incentiv
