The Job:  

As the Director of Procurement, SEF Global Sourcing Strategy, you will Develop and lead strategic sourcing efforts for the Fasteners categories across the SEF enterprise. This position will manage the strategic sourcing responsibilities for developing the methodology of sourcing strategies tailored to SEF, focused on building the bridge between Strategic Sourcing groups and running the business.  The responsibility includes being the SEF procurement liaison for the SEF commercial roadmap including expertise on battery, electrification and powertrain

As a Director of Procurement, SEF Global Sourcing Strategy, you’ll be part of our Global Supply Management team working as a remote employee.    You’ll get to:  

• Responsible for partnering with the key internal stakeholders to understand requirements and drive global, value-based year-over-year sustainable sourcing strategies across the category spectrum to ensure quality, value-cost optimization, service performance and business continuity are developed and sustained to grow the business
• Develop long-term product sourcing roadmap considering strategic and tactical needs.
• Create and manage strategic supplier partnerships to ensure continual performance expectations are met and year over year productivity targets are achieved by conducting proper supplier management techniques
• Benchmark cost structure against industry-recognized models from national research labs and major competitors.
• Keep current on category market, cost drivers and economic outlook to guide category strategy and keep company updated on developments.

• Bachelor’s degree required- Engineering Degree highly preferred, Business, Finance, or Supply Chain preferred
• MBA (Business administration) highly desirable
• Minimum of 8 years strategic sourcing experience of which 4 must be in battery and battery cell technology in a global, multi-site manufacturing environment
• Experience in Strategic Sourcing in EV industry highly preferred, experience with powertrain components highly desirable.
• Experience in multicultural negotiations, contracting and supplier management activities required
• Experience in leading large, global complex supply management solution projects required
