Accounts Payable Analyst

The Position:
We are seeking a detailed-oriented Accounts Payable Analyst to add to our roster. Reporting to the Director, Accounts Payable, the Accounts Payable Analyst plays a crucial role in entering invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payment to vendors, and verifying financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records. The role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage a high volume of transactions in a fast-paced environment.

This is a hybrid position located in NYC or Southport, CT.

The Game Plan:
(What you will do)

• Process accounts payable data in compliance with the company’s policies and procedures.
• Perform day-to-day invoice transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts data.
• Analyze and resolve discrepancies and unpaid invoices by coordinating with internal departments and vendors.
• Communicate with vendors to address billing issues and ensure timely payments
• Maintain accurate and organized records of AP transactions.
• Monitor outstanding invoices and ensure payments are processed within agreed timelines
• Prepare accounts payable reports, including tracking pending approval statuses and analyzing payment trends.
• Analyze workflow processes to ensure efficient payment processes and identify areas of improvement.
• Understand compliance issues around accounts payable processes.
• Support the Shared Services team with additional tasks, projects, and reports.

The Stats:
(What to bring)

• AA degree in accounting, finance, or related field (bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Proficiency in accounting software (Workday preferred).
• Ability to analyze financial data and provide insight.
• Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Knowledge of GAAP (General Accepted Accounting Principles).

The Company is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base compensation range for this role is $80K - $95K. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates’ relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
