About the role

The Delivery Manager is responsible for the management of all activities relating to the implementation and delivery of new products, enhancements pertaining to operational related issues and streamlining of processes to improve productivity. They work across teams, including Product, Operations, AI Center of Excellence and Technology, to manage the entire product lifecycle from concept to release.  Further, the Delivery Manager ensures the product delivered aligns with business goals, meets quality standards, is delivered on time, within budget and that the impacted Operations areas are ready and able to successfully achieve stated value. 

Responsibilities

Product Delivery Planning:

Collaborates with product management to define product vision, scope, and prioritization, translating them into actionable delivery plans. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Works closely with engineering, product, marketing, and other relevant teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution. 

Business Readiness Management:

Collaborate with matrix organizations to identify their operational impacts and readiness needs including: staffing needs , communications, procedures and training materials.  Additionally, will build plans to monitor and manage the execution and delivery of readiness activities.

Risk Management:

Identifies, assesses, mitigates, documents and escalates potential risks to the product delivery process and timeline. 

Progress Tracking and Reporting:

Monitors progress against delivery plans, identifies potential roadblocks, and reports on status to stakeholders. 

Stakeholder Management:

Communicates effectively with various stakeholders, including customers, internal teams, and leadership, keeping them informed and engaged. 

Resource Allocation:

Requests and manages internal and external resources effectively and efficiently. Through timely resource requests and best practices relating to meeting cadence and facilitation.

Quality Assurance:

Works with technology, product and operations partner to ensure Business Acceptance Test (BAT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities are documented and performed to meet the required standards and specifications.  Ensure Business review and sign-off received on business test evidence 

Data Analysis:

Ensure KPI/metrics are defined, as needed, developed and available during the Product lifecycle and for the monitoring of go live activities

Process Improvement:

Continuously identifies areas for improvement in the product delivery process and implements changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of experience in delivery management, operational readiness and/or project management

  • Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels and diverse partners, including executive leaders.

  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and delivering products on time and within budget.

  • Strong business and financial acumen, with proven ability to leverage knowledge base to quickly come up to speed in new business areas new projects

  • Understanding of product development lifecycle and agile methodologies.

  • Ability to identify and mitigate risks and resolve conflicts.

  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Healthcare/Pharmacy Operations domain experience/knowledge necessary

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team within highly matrixed organizations.

  • Fact-based problem solver with the ability to evaluate alternative courses of action and make sound management decisions

  • Ability to develop trusting working partnerships with internal and external business and technology partners

  • Ability to proactively influence, persuade, and collaborate with operational areas affected by changes

  • Proficient in SharePoint, MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, MS Outlook, MS Visio, Confluence and Jira
