HOW WILL YOU HELP DRIVE THE FUTURE OF NATURAL GAS? 

The Business Innovation Lead will support the development, planning, and delivery of Process and Continuous Process Improvement methodology within PGS to elevate and enhance operational efficiency and quality. Collaborate closely with various functional areas to drive process optimization and innovation across the organization. Under minimal supervision plays a key role in driving transformative initiatives and embedding a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

•  Associate Degree in Business or equivalent from an accredited college/university
•  Certification in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Level or equivalen
• 3 years transformational change experience, including 1 year of direct experience with supporting business processes, transformational change in challenging environments, and assessing productivity and process improvement or   continuous improvement projects. 
•  Facilitating innovation and process improvement workshops while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
•  Expertise in process improvement, design, cost control, productivity, and operational efficiency.
•  Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills; proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
•  Detail-oriented with excellent judgment and ability to manage multiple projects independently.
•  Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma and Business Innovation principles.
•  Leadership and influencing skills to interact with various stakeholders effectively

 

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the planning and application of traditional business analysis and process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Design Thinking, Process Re-engineering, Customer Experience, and Process Excellence to        optimize operational effectiveness and quality
• Lead the development, conceptualization, design, and implementation of new and ongoing process improvement initiatives for Peoples Gas System. Effectively conduct client interviews, process observations, and lead or support      workshop facilitations. Develop high-level value analysis activities to provide solutions for complex initiatives, including the creation of KPIs and operational metrics to ensure project success criteria
• Utilize internal and external research, industry benchmarks/best practices to support the development of improvement initiatives and achieve operational excellence
• Serve as an organizational Subject Matter Expert on Process Improvement and Continuous Improvement methodologies to support ongoing efforts to embed innovation within PGS culture
