The Director, Client Partnership will be the primary owner of client relationships and will orchestrate the development and execution of omni-channel client strategies. They will serve as the direct point of contact for clients and will be responsible for understanding and interpreting the client’s needs across all channels. They will establish clear requirements and expectations for both the client and RKD (i.e. Scope of Work) that will enable a successful working relationship. The Director, Client Partnership will assume accountability for client retention and overall satisfaction, as well as organic client revenue growth.
The Director, Client Partnership will develop and foster a collaborative Client Team for each Client, inclusive of Channel Strategy, Account Management, Decision Science Group, Data, Creative and Client Delivery as applicable. They will approve annual plans and budgets for clients, which will include omni-channel projections and historical performance and will be responsible for presenting these to the client. The Director, Client Partnership will lead account planning and strategy meetings, both internally and with the client. They will be responsible for the creation and finalization of client-specific job strategy documents as well as ensuring strategies presented to the client align with their goals, objectives, and visions. They should also have thorough knowledge of the industry and available services and the ability to accelerate Client and RKD growth.
This person needs to own the full program and success regardless of channel. They need to understand each channel strategy to know which levers to pull in order to reach a client’s KPIs and goals.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a primary point of contact for clients
- Develop a deep understanding of client needs, objectives and goals
- Ensure client goals are communicated with the internal client team (inclusive of Channel Strategy, Account Management, Decision Science Group, Data, Creative and Client Delivery)
- Review plans across all channels to ensure comprehensive, omni-channel, cohesive client strategies reach client goals
- Responsible for helping grow client Net ACV and maintaining client profitability at or above pre-determined targets
- Maintain accurate ACV reporting by Client, as well as managing pipeline opportunities and driving revenue growth for existing clients
- Work with Finance to gain pricing approval for any client renewals or any ad hoc projects
- Collective ownership of RKD Gross and Net Revenue (GAAP basis) Budget and Forecasts for each client relationship with other Client Partner leaders. As actual revenue is realized, responsible for communicating causes of variance to budget or forecast to the Finance team
- Collaborate with Channel Strategists to identify potential up-sell or cross-sell opportunities based on RKD best practices and new innovation
- Design and lead initiatives to increase client satisfaction and retention
- Partner with Sales Enablement in business development pursuits
- Responsible for working with the Sales team to manage handoff for new clients, including facilitation of on-boarding meeting for new clients and ensuring Client goals and Scope of Work (based on client business model) are documented and understood by Client and all members of the Client Team
- Help lead client annual planning and strategy meetings across all channels; present plan and budget to the client, communicate any revisions suggested by the client, and achieve final sign-off on annual plan and budget
- Review performance of client’s campaigns relative to projections and, if exceeding or missing projections, alert channel strategists for ideas to capture opportunities or close gaps
- Partner with Channel Strategy and Account Management to create and finalize the client-specific job strategy, ensuring it is aligned with client goals and projected results
