Overview:
The Content Director role will execute and oversee a content strategy to build brand awareness, create and progress pipeline, and increase customer retention for LivePerson. You will design and make improvements to best practices and tools used for content ideation, generation, presentation, distribution, and measurement. As Content Director, you will act as an Editor in Chief by setting guidelines and coaching others throughout the company to create high-quality, engaging content. You will join LivePerson Marketing as part of the Brand Marketing team and will partner closely with other teams across Marketing, Sales, and Product. You will spearhead the development of a wide range of content such as white papers, case studies, videos, social posts, blog posts, sales decks, webinars, emails, newsletters, web pages, collateral, and more.
You will:
- Build content strategy for LivePerson
- Conduct content inventories and audits to identify current content and future content needs.
- Drive adoption and innovative application of generative AI in our content strategy.
- Develop customer-focused digital content solutions that support brand goals and user goals.
- Incorporate content marketing best practices for search engine optimization and analytics.
- Conduct strategic content assessments (qualitative and quantitative) to identify content opportunities to support the business and customers' needs.
- Use data analysis, user research, and content audits to inform your content strategy decisions.
- Develop content guidelines that support customer needs, our goals, content lifecycle management, and enterprise content strategy.
- Work cross-functionally with teams like product, engineering, and sales to create, and gain agreement around strategies.
- Champion content strategy to our team members.
- Map all content needs against the customer lifecycle.
- Develop content strategy for our new products and services.
- Develop a content schedule for white papers, webinars, infographics, blogs, landing pages, videos, etc. to engage our target audiences.
- Develop a content strategy to support marketing campaigns and go-to-market launches.
- Establish workflow for requesting, creating, editing, publishing, repurposing, and retiring content.
- Lead creative ways to integrate generative AI into LivePerson's content strategy
You have:
- 12+ years of professional experience
- At least 8+ years of experience in online content strategy and leadership experience.
- Experience successfully recruiting, onboarding, managing, and mentoring a team of full-time and freelance writers - experience with people management is necessary .
- Summarize and communicate content strategy among all partners.
- Drive cross-functional projects forward.
- Ability to leverage data analysis, user benchmarking, and content audits to facilitate content decisions and deployment.
- You will synthesize information from multiple sources and come up with a content strategy.
- Ability to perform detailed content analysis and gap analysis with supporting documentation.
- Experience developing content inventories and taxonomies.
- Understanding of SEO best practices, and ability to train others on SEO best practices.
- 3+ years of writing experience for website and marketing.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing, Communications, or comparable professional experience.
Benefits:
The salary range for this role will be between $150,000 to $190,000. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, your location, and your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications. During the phone screening, the recruiter will provide the location-specific salary range for this role.
