Senior Regional Investment Consultant, Registered Investment Advisors (RIA)

Responsibilities include external sales and marketing efforts in the New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.
You must live in the Northeast and be proficient in discussing complex investment topics, market commentary and thought leadership, and have experience with the RIA and family office distribution channels.
Experience selling mutual funds, ETFs, SMAs, and alternatives to the RIA and family office marketplace is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide representation of all products distributed and marketed by Columbia Threadneedle in the Northeast territory of our Private Client Advisory channel. Territory includes NJ, NY, CT, MA, VT, NH, RI, and ME.
- Demonstrate the necessary skills to drive sales with new and existing RIA and family office clients. Experience selling mutual funds, SMAs, ETFs, and alternatives is required.
- Identify client needs through a consultative sales process. Provide investment ideas and value-add content to various financial professionals including analysts, CIOs, or research specialists.
- Deliver presentations on our current though leadership for equity and fixed income markets, our capital markets outlook, and our value-add capabilities.
- Ability to leverage data and analytics to identify sales opportunities. Partner with internal wholesaler and other business partners to drive sales and execute territory goals.
- Candidate must live in the territory.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years relevant experience.
- Experience working with the RIA and family office markets.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Demonstrated sales track record and successful territory management.
- Consultative selling skills and communication skills.
- Deep investment knowledge including expertise in selling mutual funds, SMAs, ETFs, and alternatives.
- Ability to deliver value-added content as a way to influence sales and develop/strengthen partnerships.
- Series 7 (or SIE and Series 7 top off exam) and 66 (or 63 & 65 combined).

- CIMA, CAIA, CFA, CFP
