Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the oversight of the payroll accounting function for multiple legal entities in the U.S. and Canada
  • Maintenance of the general ledger system in ADP Vantage and Canada payroll
  • Reconciliation of payroll accounts in the general ledger system
  • Responsible for setting up new state and local tax ID setups for employees
  • Responsible for any tax amendments
  • Review of tax agency notices, working with ADP on needs relating to notice
  • Review of W2s both quarterly and the final review annually
  • Responsible for all things related to 401K - Loan Reviews, 401K Corrections, Annual Reporting, Set ups in payroll system
  • HSA contribution reconciliations with employee’s accounts
  • Provide excellent customer service and be back up for payroll process as necessary

Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in accounting or another business-related field
  • General accounting experience in multi-location company of similar size and complexity
  • Strong computer and business solutions software skills; must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrated familiarity with payroll functions
  • Experience with ADP Vantage payroll or similar system
  • Audit support experience preferably
  • Comfortable in highly automated environments and ability to drive continuous process improvements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with accountants, clients and upper management
