Our Cranial & Spinal Technologies (CST) Operating Unit develops and delivers an integrated ecosystem of spinal implants, navigation and robotic guidance systems, advanced imaging, and data-driven planning tools for complex spine and cranial procedures. Platforms such as AiBLE™ connect these technologies to enhance surgical precision, streamline workflows, and support improved patient outcomes across the globe.
This position supports day-to-day activities within the Value Stream Management workstream, with primary responsibility for validations/qualifications and key Operations deliverables. The role provides engineering support for Spinal manufacturing operations, leading technical execution of product and process transfers, driving project management and process improvement initiatives, partnering with manufacturing suppliers, and delivering high-quality, cost-effective production outcomes.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Manage technical aspects of product and process transfers to manufacturing partners, ensuring seamless execution and compliance with requirements.
Assist in the development and execution of process validations (IQ/OQ/PQ), including protocol development, data collection, and report documentation.
Support Design Verification and Validation activities as needed.
Participate in MSA, GR&R, SPC, and Process Control Plan activities.
Provide day-to-day engineering support to manufacturing operations, including troubleshooting and basic root cause analysis.
Assist in process improvements to enhance yield, efficiency, and product quality.
Support implementation of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support technical activities related to product and process transfers to manufacturing partners.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and compliant execution.
Identify and support cost-saving and Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) opportunities.
Assist in data gathering and analysis to support business cases and project execution.
Support engineering change activities in compliance with quality system and regulatory requirements.
Ensure adherence to product specifications, internal procedures, and industry standards.
Work closely with manufacturing partners and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
Communicate effectively across teams to support operational goals.

This role will require <10% of travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects.
Must Haves (Required Qualifications):
Bachelors degree in Technical or related field with 2 years of experience
Advance degree in Technical or related field with 0 years of experienced
Nice to have:
Bachelors degree in Engineering or related technical field with 2+ years of manufacturing experience
Basic understanding of validation processes (IQ/OQ/PQ), PFMEA, and Lean/Six Sigma principles
Foundational knowledge of manufacturing process such as machining, molding, assembly, welding, finishing, Gage R&R.
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
