The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia is one of the 12 regional Reserve Banks that, together with the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C., make up the Federal Reserve System. It helps formulate and implement monetary policy, supervises banks and savings and loan holding companies, and provides financial services to depository institutions and the federal government. The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia serves eastern and central Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and Delaware.

This opening requires an on-site presence. The work schedule is Monday – Friday (40 hours per week). This is a 10-week paid internship.

The hourly rate for this position is as follows:
$23.00 undergraduate level student
$28.00- graduate level student

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support CDRO’s initiatives to enhance engagement with internal and external stakeholders, with a particular emphasis on promoting community development and financial institutions relations.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of key programs and events in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to respond to industry needs and challenges.
  • Manage logistical arrangements to conduct professional, highly effective events and meetings that are held with stakeholders across the Third District.
  • Assist with communications to internal and external stakeholders, analyze key industry trends, and contribute to materials to support the Department’s mission.
  • Support and participate in Reserve Bank strategic initiatives and signature programs.
  • Build subject matter expertise on the community development and financial services industries.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed in support of the Financial Institutions Relations team, the Community Development team, and the department’s objectives.

Required Skills:

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Exceptional interpersonal skills with an emphasis on effective listening.

Strong problem solving, planning, and analytical skills.

Flexible and able to effectively plan and manage ones' own time to work on multiple projects.  

Ability to self-educate on relevant banking issues and concerns.

Knowledge of financial services industry preferred.

This position may require occasional travel
