Position Summary
The Administrative Coordinator for the School of Nursing and Health Sciences (SNHS) manages the office, correspondence, and files for the Office of the Dean of the School of Nursing and Health Sciences. In this role, you will provide administrative support for the Dean, faculty, and staff of the School of Nursing and Health Sciences and liaises with campus personnel, faculty, current and former students, and the public. The position reports to the Dean of SNHS.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provides administrative support to the Dean of the School of Nursing and Health Sciences and Nursing Graduate Programs.
- Supervises student workers and work-study students.
- Organizes and plan the day-to-day operations of the Dean’s Office of the School of Nursing and Health Science.
- Independently prepares, edits, and disseminates routine correspondence from the Dean’s office, Graduate Nursing, and MSAT.
- Arrange travel and travel-related expenses for Dean and school faculty.
- Coordinate selected events sponsored by the School of Nursing and Health Sciences (includes vendor coordination).
- Maintains faculty professional and clinical compliance records.
- Collaborates with the dean/directors regarding adjunct appointments and compensation tracking.
- Assists with faculty and staff recruitment processes, onboarding, communication, and correspondence with faculty candidates.
- Preparing and revising new and existing contracts with potential and affiliating health care agencies in partnership with the school.
- Along with the Dean, Directors, and Faculty, assist with the preparation and maintenance of data sets and compliance reports required by federal, state, and local government and accrediting agencies.
- Oversees inventory of all School of Nursing and Health Sciences office supplies and purchasing instructional supplies
- Prepares agendas and minutes for graduate meetings (GAPC, S&P, DNP, & Nurse Practitioner)
- Performs other administrative duties as assigned by the Dean of the School of Nursing and Health Sciences.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Excellent composition skills, including mastery of the principles of grammar.
- Successfully uses multiple software programs independently. Software may include Microsoft Office, applications such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access, email, and web browsers.
- The ability to accomplish substantial work and deal effectively with various faculty, staff, students, and the public.
- Can work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
- Assumes initiative in carrying out assigned tasks.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and competency.
- Effective organizational skills; self-motivated, resourceful, and dependable. Able to effectively prioritize.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
