Description

The Senior Manager, Epic Ambulatory Applications is a key leader within the Information Systems (IS) Division at Children's National Hospital, responsible for the implementation, optimization, and support of Epic ambulatory clinical applications across primary care and specialty clinics. This role leads a team of analysts and collaborates closely with ambulatory care providers, clinical operations, and practice leadership to ensure Epic tools support efficient workflows, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.

Reporting to the Director, Epic Clinical Applications, this position blends Epic expertise, operational awareness, and leadership to drive improvements in outpatient care delivery and advance strategic initiatives across the enterprise.

Qualifications

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university with major course work in computer science, Information Technology, engineering, or equivalent related experience. (Required)
Master's Degree (Preferred)

Minimum Work Experience

7 years, A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in healthcare IT or clinical systems support (Required)
5 years, At least five (5) years of experience working within the Ambulatory services setting. (Required)
3 years, A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a formal leadership role overseeing teams, projects, or operational functions is required. (Required)

Leadership & Team Development – Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, providing strategic direction, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability, and ensuring ongoing professional growth for team members.
