Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Marketing and Communications- Graphics Intern working with our graphics marketing team to be based in New York, NY. Core responsibilities include graphic design of covers and tabs, charts, schedules, etc; document layout; photo editing/re-touching; and design of presentations.

This position is expected to begin in June 2025.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Works with marketing and technical staff in the production of proposals and presentations using AECOM brand standards for layout, type, and color
  • Design, layout, photo retouching and illustration of a wild range of infographics for covers, proposals, presentations, boards, brochures, etc.
  • Supports New York metro Marketing Manager, Senior Graphics Manager and Marketing Leads
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
  • In-house production for brochures, proposals, and presentations
  • Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.
  • Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study
  • Work with a variety of technical and marketing staff to support proposals and presentations
  • Support content development by designing graphics and collateral materials
  • Works under general supervision and collaboration with the graphics and marketing team

This position will offer flexibility for hybrid work schedules to include a combination of in-office presence and virtual/telecommute based in New York.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic design, Marketing or similar discipline and must have completed at least 3 years of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions.  Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in adobe creative suite.
  • Previous intern experience in a design-related capacity.
  • Experience in the Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator; and MS Office Suite: PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate within a team setting.
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written, and presentation) and interpersonal skills (outgoing and personable).
