Window Nation, is one of the fastest-growing window replacement companies in the U.S., operating in over 25 markets. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Web Developer to fuel this dramatic growth and join our dynamic team. Our Web Developer will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our company’s website and applications. Position responsibilities will primarily revolve around website maintenance and performance (investigating errors, optimizing for speed, and fixing broken code), template/page development for Window Nation’s websites, landing pages, and email, website upgrades and developing new features to uplevel user experience and engagement, and regular updates to images and content to support Marketing with changing offers/promos.  

Core Job Responsibilities

• Create visually appealing and functional landing pages that align with Window Nation’s branding and marketing strategies
• Investigate and resolve issues related to broken pages, errors, and inconsistencies on all Window Nation domains and websites to ensure a seamless user experience
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers and content creators, to implement and integrate their contributions into the website
• Maintain content management system (Wordpress) and function as Window Nation’s website administrator
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and rectify any code-related issues or errors that may affect Window Nation website’s performance
• Provide support for web related ticket submissions, promptly addressing user inquiries and issues while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service
• Assist in the implementation of SEO best practices, collaborating with SEO manager to optimize WindowNation.com’s visibility and ranking in search engine results
• Assist with coding lead forms and emails within Window Nation’s CRM (MS Dynamics 365)
• Implement and modify code associated with marketing analytics tools such as Google Tag Manager (GTM), Google Analytics (GA4), and ad platforms
• Stay up to date with the latest web development trends, technologies, and frameworks, and suggest innovative ideas to enhance the website’s functionality and performance
• Collaborate with other developers to learn and grow your skills, actively participating in code reviews and seeking feedback to improve your development capabilities
• Contribute to Window Nation’s documentation of coding standards, processes, and best practices to ensure consistency and maintainability of the website
• Approximately 95% of the responsibilities will involve front-end development work, while the remaining 5% will pertain to back-end development tasks

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in web development in a professional setting. Which includes, proficiency in HTLM, CSS, and JavaScript, experience with responsive and adaptive design, and front-end frameworks React and jQuery, Angular, or Vue.js
• Minimum 3 years of experience in WordPress or similar Content Management Systems (CMS)

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with PHP or other server-side programming languages
• Experience working on websites that generate 100k+ user sessions/month
• Proficient in using version control systems, such as Git, for code collaboration and version management
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently
• Understanding of web analytics tools (GA4), SEO principles, and accessibility standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with CRM platforms, such as Microsoft Dynamics
• Strong knowledge of regular expressions (Regex) within Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Google Analytics (GA4)
