Join our innovative team as a Home Devices Engineer, where you'll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge image and signal processing projects. This role is perfect for someone passionate about multimedia technologies, professional imaging, and application engineering.

 

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Perform System Development Kit (SDK) development of home entertainment devices, which includes PC, monitors, gaming consoles, TVs, etc. 
  • Generate imaging contents with Dolby Vision technology and integrate them into the SDK. 
  • Develop automation framework and tools to reduce the time and effort of the Dolby Vision certification process.  
  • Run proof of concepts and demos to show the advantage of Dolby Vision technology on home entertainment devices. 
  • Partner with technical writers to draft and review technical publications. 
  • Improve software engineering best practices for source control, continuous integration, automated testing, and release management.  

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Passionate about the home entertainment industry.  
  • Completed Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering with an emphasis and passion for multimedia technologies.  
  • Solid understanding of signal and image processing
  • 3+ years of industry experience as a software engineer or test automation engineer.  
  • Strong programming skills with Python and C++
  • Good understanding of software development life cycle. 
  • Experienced with operating systems such as Windows, Linux, Android, and iOS. 
  • Experienced with agile development principles. 
  • Proficency with Matlab or Cuda

 

Preferred Qualifications :

 

  • Experienced with color science and picture quality knowledge. 
  • Proficient with HDMI and DisplayPort interfaces. 
  • Well-versed with video coding standards: H.264/AVC, H.265/HEVC. 
  • You have excellent communication and documentation skills. 
  • Results-oriented with a passion for learning new technologies. 

 

 

 

The San Francisco/Bay Area base salary range for this full-time position is $131,100- $157,700, which can vary if outside this location, plus bonus, benefits, and some roles may also include equity. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training.
